History of the Royalton

Industrialist Edward Moore commissioned the estate house on its original 150 acres in 1918 by the architect firm of Cross and Cross. Completed in 1922, the Moore’s lived and entertained in their gold coast country estate for the next 20 years.

The estate was transformed into the Roslyn Country Club neighborhood in the early 1950’s, and the house continued a proud history of catered affairs for decades.

Michael Einhorn, of Jem Caterers, found the grand house in disrepair several years ago and painstakingly restored its timelessness and glory to its 1920s’ levels. Old world elegance marries a tradition of excellence in catering that spans 50 years, together forming a union to make your Long Island Wedding a custom event etched in memory.
